Slip testing in Brisbane
On-site slip testing across Brisbane and the surrounding council areas, from one national supplier that is part of Premrest. Both AS 4663:2013 methods, results compared with HB 198:2014 for each location type, and a rectification quote for every floor that needs attention.
Storm season floors and outdoor living
Brisbane buildings are designed for outdoor living: open breezeways, covered walkways, pool decks and external stairs that are part of the daily route rather than an occasional one. In storm season those surfaces are wet for weeks at a time, and the sudden downpours drive water well past the entry mat. Tiles chosen for their look in a covered area, timber decking that has silvered and lost its texture, and sealed concrete in car parks are the frequent problem surfaces.
We cover Brisbane City, the northern suburbs to North Lakes, the bayside suburbs to Redcliffe and Wynnum, the south to Logan, the west to Ipswich and the inner ring. Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba sites are quoted on request.
One supplier across Brisbane and the other capitals
Many of our Brisbane clients also have sites in the other two cities. Sliptest runs the whole program from one place: one account contact, one scoping method, one report template and one register, so the Brisbane results sit alongside the rest of the portfolio rather than in a separate file. See national slip testing programs.
Part of Premrest
Sliptest is the slip testing business unit of Premrest, Australia's go-to for commercial floor care, with crews working on Brisbane commercial floors every day. When a location falls short, Premrest quotes the rectification, carries it out and Sliptest retests. See rectification by Premrest.
How a single Brisbane site is priced
Pricing is set by state and by the number of areas tested, so the online form gives you the Queensland price the moment you add your locations. It covers travel within the metropolitan area, testing to AS 4663:2013 at every location, and the written report. After-hours visits carry a higher rate that is shown before you book. There is nothing to pay until after the visit.
What you receive
A report by email with a one-page summary and a full record for every location: photograph, surface, condition, readings, class and the HB 198:2014 target it was measured against, plus ranked recommendations for anything below target. See what your report contains.
- CBD and fringe office buildings and their external plazas
- Body corporate common areas: pools, breezeways and external stairs
- Shopping centres and large-format retail
- Aged care, hospitals and health precincts
- Schools and childcare centres with covered outdoor learning areas
- Warehousing and logistics sites around the Trade Coast and western corridor
Two methods, one visit
Wet-in-service areas are tested with the wet pendulum. Dry internal routes are tested with the dry floor friction method. Most Brisbane sites need both, and both are included in the same report.
Brisbane slip testing questions
Do you cover the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast?
Yes, on request. Sites outside Greater Brisbane are quoted individually rather than at the online price. Send an enquiry with the site details and we will come back with a figure.
Can you test pool decks and outdoor areas?
Yes. Barefoot areas are tested with the softer slider specified for those conditions and compared with the HB 198:2014 recommendations for pool surrounds and ramps into water.
Is the Brisbane price fixed?
Yes. Choose Brisbane in the online form, add the areas, and the Queensland price is shown before you book. It holds for 30 days.
